Oka refrigerator

Domestic freezing equipment is particularly popular, as it is distinguished by reliability and durability. Today on the market there are several options for such products, among which one can distinguish a refrigerator Oka. You can find out the technical characteristics of such units on the manufacturer’s website.

Historical reference

Fridge Oka produced since the 50s of the last century - a factory Oka-Cold. The basis of this design were taken devices that produced ZIL. Today, refrigerators of this brand have improved, which led to the emergence of new models. At the moment, the company is working in conjunction with the Turkish company Beko, which has a positive effect on the design and technical characteristics of the manufactured devices. The first models were not sophisticated, but the quality of their performance was very high. Some individual products still function. The height of the first designs did not exceed 150 cm. Oka refrigerators are characterized by a strict rectangular design, which distinguishes them from other products.

The capacity of the plant since the start of production has been constantly increasing. After 10 years of work, it has already produced about 600 refrigerators per day.

Advantages and disadvantages

Refrigerators Oka For a long time they were produced without significant improvements, which led to a decrease in their popularity. After the reconstruction, these products became much better. Among the positive qualities of this technique, the following characteristics can be distinguished:

  1. Relatively low cost. Almost every average resident of the country can afford such products.
  2. The original design. Refrigerators can be selected for almost any interior style.
  3. Build quality. Products have a long service life.

It should be understood that all these parameters depend not only on the model, but also on the year of manufacture. But refrigerators of this manufacturer have several disadvantages:

  1. Small capacity. This is especially true of old models that were produced before the reorganization of the enterprise.
  2. High power consumption. Although manufacturers have perfected such a technique, many models still “eat” up to 500 kWh / year.
  3. Manual defrost. This approach not only takes time, you must constantly monitor the amount of ice in the freezer.

Popular models

Several basic modifications of Oka refrigerators are launched on the market:

The main model is considered a refrigerator "Oka-6 KSh-ZOOP", on the basis of which all the others were created. These devices differ in the following parameters:

  1. The refrigerator has two chambers. The substance R12 is used as a refrigerant.
  2. The total volume of cameras reaches 300 liters. These characteristics may vary, depending on the specific modification of the refrigerator and the year of manufacture.
  3. The system operates in two modes - “Cooling” and “Defrosting”. This allows you to effectively control the operation of the mechanism. All these operations are performed using a mechanical switch.

Description of modern modifications

Refrigerators are more popular today. Oka-6M. The temperature in the freezer in these structures can drop to -18 degrees. Several modern functions that these models are equipped with should be highlighted:

  1. All refrigerators are equipped with an automatic defrosting system. This mechanism independently removes melt water from the refrigerator. The launch of this system occurs every four days. All water is collected in a special pan, from which it is removed manually.
  2. Doors are equipped with a limiter, which allows you to control the opening angle.
  3. The presence of several supports, allowing you to change the position of the internal shelves in height. They are present both inside the refrigerator compartment and on the doors.
  4. Serving plane.
  5. The refrigerator is made of high-quality steel coated with special enamel.
  6. The presence of a special system for dispensing chilled drinks. Such a function is present only in the Oka-6M model.
  7. The ability to outweigh the doors.
  8. Interior illumination of the refrigerator compartment. This can significantly improve the overview and access to specific products.
  9. Refrigerator capacity may vary by model. The largest - 336 liters, from which the freezer occupies 108 liters. The standard volume of most refrigerators reaches only 245 liters (freezer compartment - 50 liters).

Major breakdowns

Although according to many reviews, refrigerators Oka - A relatively reliable technique, yet it often fails. Some of the most popular breakdowns of this technique should be highlighted:

  1. Clogged capillary tube. You can fix this problem only by completely purging the channel. Such an operation is performed using a special tool - and only by experienced professionals. After cleaning, the filter drier must be changed, the system is filled with new freon.
  2. Compressor noise. This problem is solved only by replacing this element. However, significant volume does not always indicate poor performance. Many models can fully function with such a disadvantage for a long time.
  3. Problems with the freezer system. There are many reasons that can lead to such malfunctions. But still, it is necessary to highlight the breakdown of the semi-automatic valve and thermostat that controls the supply of freon.

All repairs are carried out only by experienced professionals - and in the presence of sophisticated equipment. It should be noted a large number of such units on the market, which makes it easy to find spare parts of a particular type.

Refrigerators Oka represent budget designs in which the necessary functions are provided. They can be used to solve various problems. When choosing this product, you should first select a model, as well as evaluate the reviews of the owners of this equipment. When buying such a technique, you should consider a variety of factors. If you take this seriously, you can get the perfect fridge that will do a great job of fulfilling your tasks.

Oka refrigerator - creation story

For the basis in the production, the development of the ZIL plant, large at that time, was used. But the quality of Oka refrigerators was radically different, and not for the better, since the leadership of the Murom machine-building plant decided to use the so-called residual principle. For the production of refrigerators used the funds that remained from the procurement of materials for the main production.

Since the quality of the refrigerators and their appearance did not always meet the needs of even Soviet buyers, these products of the Murom plant could be found on sale during the period of total deficit and they were purchased by families with low incomes and requests. But this factor, to some extent, served as an incentive for the wide distribution and popularization of this brand.

The main characteristics of the refrigerator "Oka"

The first refrigerators of this brand were two-chamber and, unlike most modern models, the freezer was in their upper part and looked like a shelf with a door, and its capacity was small.

The Oka refrigerator was of standard sizes and could be used even in a family of 4-5 people. The design style was strict, without unnecessary design decisions - a case with sharp corners, not more than 150 cm in height, with standard handles.

In the refrigerator compartment, removable shelving lattices were installed, which could be installed at different heights. The containers for vegetables and fruits made of white plastic could be removed and large-sized products put in their place. The total volume of the refrigerator was, as a rule, not more than 300 liters, and energy consumption - about 50 kW / h per month.

Defrosting the refrigerator took place in the so-called manual way, that is, the device needed to be turned off and waiting for the ice to melt naturally. During operation, the refrigerator was quite loud

Refrigerator device

The refrigerator (Fig. 1.) has two compartments: the upper one has a low-temperature (freezing) compartment and the lower one has a refrigerator.

The pallet consists of a body, a flap, a cover. The pallet is fixed on the internal cabinet of the refrigerator on two bonks and two latches, similar to mounting the remote control. In order to increase air circulation in the refrigerator, a through window is provided in the pallet, which is recommended to be kept open at normal temperature and high load of the products of the refrigerator. The window should be closed if long-term storage of frozen products is required, as well as when thawing frost from the walls of the evaporator. The pallet window is closed by a movable shutter, it is opened or closed by the handle of the shutter, which is moved by the hand until it stops at itself (open) or until it stops from itself (closed). The tray is also designed to collect melt water from the evaporator. It has a hole for draining melt water outside the refrigerator compartment.

The large door consists of a frame, a panel, a seal, a device for dispensing drinks, stops, a handle and a lodgement for eggs. Two guides are fixed on the door panel, in which shelves and barriers are installed. To remove the barrier or shelf, it is necessary to raise the shelf all the way up, and then feed the shelf onto itself.

In the upper part of the panel there are two shtofs that are filled with drinks and tightly closed with screw plugs. At the lower and upper ends of the door frame there are bushings and plugs in case the door is moved. The door frames are fastened with paper clips by snap fastening. The dispenser has two tubes 3 and 21: the first for air, the second for drinks. Some ends of the tubes are connected to the fittings of the damper cover, and others to the fittings of the microcompressor and the housing 4 of the beverage dispenser.

Fig. 4.Device for dispensing drinks of the Oka-6 refrigerator:

1 - microprocessor:3 - tube for air,
2 - a tube for water,4 - casing of the water dispensing device

There is a button on the outside of the refrigerator door. When you press the glass with the glass on the key, the microcompressor is turned on, with the help of which air enters the bottle through the tube and squeezes water or drinks through the other bottle of the bottle into the glass. When filling the glass with chilled drinks from the beverage dispenser after shutting off the microcompressor (a click is heard), it is necessary to wait for the complete discharge of the liquid remaining in the tubes of the device.

The refrigerator has two operating modes: “Cooling” and “Thawing”. In the "Cooling" mode, the refrigerator operates as follows. When installing the temperature control knob in one of the positions, voltage is supplied through the start-up protective relay to the motor-compressor of the refrigeration unit. The motor-compressor sucks the HFC-12 vapor from the evaporator, compresses and pumps it into a condenser. In the condenser, the vapors are condensed and through the capillary tube the vapor-liquid mixture enters the evaporator. The liquid, boiling in the evaporator, reduces the temperature of its walls and cools the internal volume and the bellows tube of the thermostat. When the bellows tube reaches the temperature corresponding to the installation of the thermostat, the contacts of the thermostat open and the motor-compressor switches off. Due to the fact that the ambient temperature is higher than the temperature inside the refrigerator, the temperature inside the refrigerator and the temperature of the bellows tube of the thermostat increase. When the bellows tube reaches the temperature corresponding to the position of the handle of the thermostat, taking into account its differential, the contacts of the thermostat close and the cycle repeats.

In the "Defrost" mode, the refrigerator operates as follows. When the defrost button is pressed, the contacts of the semiautomatic defrost control device are closed and the voltage is applied to the MLT resistor, which serves to heat the defrost control device body, and the defrost valve terminals. The defrost valve opens, the hot vapors of HFC-12 through the thawing pipeline, bypassing the condenser, enter the evaporator and thaw frost, and then the fumes are aspirated into the compressor. In this mode, the refrigerator works until the temperature of the evaporator wall reaches 4-8 ° С, while the contacts of the semi-automatic defrosting device open and the defrosting valve turns off, and the refrigerator starts to work in cooling mode.

Water formed during the melting of hoarfrost is collected in a tray and from it through a tray and a drainage pipe is discharged into a tray located in the lower part of the refrigerator body. After thawing, there may be drops of water on the surface of the evaporator.

The electric circuit of the refrigerator is given in fig. 5.

Specifications

Pay attention to the photo where the first designs are shown. They are with a strict rectangular design. They began to be released in the 50s. Their height was 150 cm. It is believed that the Oka brand, high-quality, reliable refrigerators.

The new Oka refrigerators have modern technical specifications and design. They all comply with European international standards. Dealing with the instructions for the Oka refrigerator is very simple.

Weaknesses and Strengths

Oka refrigerators have not been modernized for a long time, so at one time the demand for them decreased.

Then the reconstruction took place and they took on a number of positive qualities:

  1. Relatively low cost.
  2. Original appearance. That makes it possible to install them in rooms with any style of interior.
  3. Good build quality. This has affected the long life.

The downside is that refrigerators have a small capacity. But this mainly concerns the old units, which were released before the reconstruction of the company.

As well as:

  1. For some models, electricity consumption remains up to 500 kWh per year.
  2. And manual defrosting. This creates great inconvenience in controlling the amount of ice. Although if you follow the instructions, then there is nothing wrong with that.

Major modifications

The range is diverse. All the models you see in the photo have excellent freeze quality. They can be with a lower or upper freezer, a different number of chambers. The air circulation system prevents condensation from collecting, so there is no ice and frost in them on the walls.

The main model is the Oka 6KSh300P refrigerator. And these are already analogues - Oka 6M refrigerators.

And then the chain continues:

  1. Oka 6M206 -1
  2. Oka 6 M 206 -3
  3. Oka 6M -206 -7.

Oka 3 refrigerator is a free-standing single-chamber design. With mechanical control and drip defrosting system. 1 compressor works here. This is a working Soviet model of the refrigerator. Oka 3 is an advanced model of the Oka refrigerator. Weight became 78 kg, capacity 200 liters.

The most popular and modern Oka -6M. Their freezers work with temperatures up to -18 degrees.

Modern functions of these models

The technical characteristics of the refrigeration units of this brand include:

  1. Auto defrost. Thanks to this mechanism, melted moisture is automatically removed from the freezers. Such a system starts every 4 days. Water is then removed from special pallets manually.
  2. Limiters monitor the opening angle of refrigerators.
  3. Internal shelves can be changed in height.
  4. Production of products from high-quality steel materials and special enamel for coating.

Overview of known instances

Models of Oka 6M refrigerators are known. They are not like analogues. With a total volume of 300 liters. Refrigerator consumes 500 kWh of electricity per year. The temperature is constant due to the insulation thickness of 7 cm.

The instruction manual for the Oka 6M model informs about the special system of this refrigerator, which dispenses chilled drinks.

You can outweigh the doors on any side. The refrigerator compartment is equipped with internal lighting. Volumes vary according to models. Standard - 245, with a freezer of 50 liters and 336 - large, with a freezer of 108 liters.

Oka may also fail

Although the Oka models are reliable, but, like the rest of the entire equipment, no one is immune from malfunctions. Repair of Oka refrigerators can be carried out both in the service center and at home.

Repair may be caused by:

  1. Trash in capillary tubes. The channel is purged with special equipment. After that, the filter-dryer is replaced, and the system is filled with new refrigerant.
  2. Noise from the compressor. Here you can only replace this element. The specialist can determine if this is really a breakdown, or the operating condition of the Oka.
  3. If there is a problem with the freezer, then parts such as a semi-automatic valve and a temperature regulator that monitors the supply of freon will be subject to repair.

Remember, all repairs can only be performed by specialists. They have special equipment, but without electronics. Repair does not need computers and sophisticated diagnostic sensors. The refrigerator just turns off and is repaired according to the instructions.
